Yahoo Messenger dan Three

Beberapa waktu yang lalu saya lihat iklan di TV tentang layanan Yahoo Messenger dengan menggunakan kartu Three. Saya jadi tergelitik untuk mencoba menggunakan layanan dari three ini!

Setelah beli perdana saya langsung registrasi layanan ini. Untuk registrasi layanan tinggal kirim SMS yang isinya reg ke 333. kemudian tunggu konfirmasinya. Untuk dapat menggunakan layanan ini dikenakan biaya Rp 10000,- + pajak Rp 1000,- jadi totalnya Rp 11.000,-. Akhirnya bisa YM-an dengan menggunakan HP.

Ada 2 cara yang bisa digunakan untuk YM-an di HP yaitu pakai aplikasi yang disediakan oleh Three atau pakai SMS, tapi sayang sekali, HP saya tidak support dengan aplikasi YM yang disediakan three. Untuk melihat HP apa saja yang bisa menggunakan aplikasi ini bisa dilihat di webnya. http://www.three.co.id.

Masih bisa YM-an pake SMS, caranya :

  • Untuk login kirim SMS yang berisi "IN <YM_ID> <Password>" ke 92466. Ganti <YM_ID> dengan Yahoo ID kita dan <Password> dengan password untuk login ke Yahoo. Kalau sudah login akan muncul SMS balasan yang berisi daftar teman kita yang sedang OL (tapi tidak semua paling juga 6 orang, karena terbatasnya ukuran SMS yang dikirim)
  • Untuk mengirim pesan untuk teman kita ketik "TO <YM_ID> <pesan>" kirim ke 92466. Ganti <Pesan> dengan pesan yang akan disampaikan.
  • Kalau mau melihat teman yang sedang OL kirim "GET".
Awalnya memang senang menggunakan layanan ini karena bisa YM-an secara mobile. Setelah 3 minggu menggunakan layanan ini, akhirnya mulai merasakan kekurangan dari fasilitas ini dari sisi SMS-nya (kalau dari sis GPRS-nya nggak tau karena belum nyoba). Beberapa kekurangannya antara lain :
  • Semua pesan untuk YM ini dikirim ke nomor yang sama yaitu 92466, sedangkan kalau kita menerima pesan itu datang dari nomor yang berbeda. Jadi kalau mau reply ya g bisa langsung...(di HP saya begitu...)
  • SMS yang diterima dari teman yang sama terbatas jumlahnya, kalau g salah 5 SMS, kita masih bisa menerima SMS lanjutannya tapi harus balas dulu SMS teman kita
  • Pesan yang diterima dan dikirim terbatas sepanjang 1 SMS berarti kurang dari 160 karakter. Kalau teman kita ngirim pesan lebih dari 160 karakter, biasanya pesannya terpotong...
  • Kita harus hapal nama teman kita supaya bisa YM-an dengannya. Kan formatnya "TO <YM_ID> <Pesan>".
  • G bisa tau siapa saja yang sedang OL. Kita bisa sih meminta daftar teman yang sedang OL, tapi balasan yang kita terima hanya sepanjang 1 SMS dan biasanya hanya muat sekitar 6 orang dan itupun diurut alphabetis. Jadi kita lihat ya itu-itu aja..g bisa dilihat dari yang nama awalnya huruf 'Z'
  • Pernah juga menerima pesan tidak berurutan. Pesan yang duluan dikirim oleh teman masuknya belakangan, sedangkan yang belakangan masuknya duluan...
Jadi kalau ada yang mau pakai layanan ini sebaiknya pastikan ponselnya kompatibel dengan aplikasi yang disediakan atau kalau masalah diatas dianggap tidak masalah ya monggo.... Semoga saja Three bisa meningkatkan kompatibalitas softwarenya secepat mungkin...
